What're Custom Commands?

Circle's Custom Command plugin allows you to be the developer and create just about any command you want; from a simple message response, to multi-channel automation, to bulk-command usage, Circle can do it all.

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard.
Select the Custom Commands plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Follow the instructions below.

||| Command variables will bypass user restriction, thus making it able for anybody to use that command regardless of what permissions they have as Circle is looking for the Custom Command call only. You will need to utilize the required roles option to secure your commands when applicable.

Creating a Custom Command

Click the CREATE NEW button on the top right.
Complete the prompt that appears. (The Command Name and Command Response fields are required, everything else optional.)

Custom Commands have varying complexity and difficulty, all will be explained further in this article.

These are some advanced variables that you will be able to use within Custom Commands and Auto Replies! This allows you to make your creations more advanced, and gives you the chance to explore many different possibilities with Circle!

Circle Emojis

These emojis are used in Circle's default replies. You can use them in custom replies, too!

User Variables

The user is the person who invoked the bot to reply.

{user}: Responds with the users mention. Example: @Flatbird

What're Auto Replies?

This plugin instructs Circle to reply to certain text-triggers. This can be useful for answering FAQs automatically, community engagement, and more!

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard.
Select the Auto Reply plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Follow the instructions below.

Creating an Auto Response

Click the CREATE NEW button on the top right.
Complete the prompt that appears. (** Trigger and Response are required, all other fields are optional!**)

When someone says "hi", Circle will reply with "Hello!" using Discord's reply feature.

About the Moderation Plugin

It's our goal to be the leading and soul defender of your server from all wrongdoers, that's why we're constantly developing our moderation features to stay on top of the currents. Circle's moderation plugin enables all 20+ of her moderation commands, all highly customizable, along with enabling automatic punishments in the automod plugin.

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard.
Select the Moderation plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Select a Modlog Channel from the drop-down. This plugin will not work without a modlog channel set!!
Follow the instructions below.

Configuring Mutes

Circle supports two ways of handling mutes:

Recommended: Mutes will be applied via Discord's time out feature (learn more). This makes setup way easier! Just check the Use Discord's timeout feature to mute members box and you're all done (This is enabled by default on servers that added Circle after Dec 20th, 2021).

We've been hard at work to incorporate new Discord features, and add some new features of our own in this update!

New Features

Automod

Prevent users from sending messages with stickers, too many newlines, or files with the new perspective filters.
Set channels as ignored to achieve l a w l e s s n e s s.
Ability to have roles ignored from automod that aren't server staff.

Commands

Edit roles with the new c!editrole command which allows you to edit the name, position, permissions, mentionability, hoistability, and the color of any role.
Sub-commands to the c!role command that allow you to see results from a query, mentionable, hoisted, and permissions.

Misc

New {server.maxEmojis} AR/CC variable.
New line on c!whois that'll tell you when a member started boosting.
If a mod/admin runs c!whois on a member who hasn't yet passed membership screening, she will let them know in the response.

Moderation

Track your moderator's activity with c!modstats, which has many different overviews of how active your moderators are, and how frequent certain punishments are within your server.
Make a mistake? Clear any moderation action with c!void. You can also clear all modlogs for a specific user. (The voided modlogs will only be marked as cleared, not deleted)
