What're Custom Commands?

Circle's Custom Command plugin allows you to be the developer and create just about any command you want; from a simple message response, to multi-channel automation, to bulk-command usage, Circle can do it all.

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard.
Select the Custom Commands plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Follow the instructions below.

||| Command variables will bypass user restriction, thus making it able for anybody to use that command regardless of what permissions they have as Circle is looking for the Custom Command call only. You will need to utilize the required roles option to secure your commands when applicable.

Creating a Custom Command

Click the CREATE NEW button on the top right.
Complete the prompt that appears. (The Command Name and Command Response fields are required, everything else optional.)

Custom Commands have varying complexity and difficulty, all will be explained further in this article.

These are some advanced variables that you will be able to use within Custom Commands and Auto Replies! This allows you to make your creations more advanced, and gives you the chance to explore many different possibilities with Circle!

Circle Emojis

These emojis are used in Circle's default replies. You can use them in custom replies, too!

User Variables

The user is the person who invoked the bot to reply.

{user}: Responds with the users mention. Example: @Flatbird

| You can also use {user.mention} as an alias! When using argument variables, you must use {N.user.mention}.

{user.username}: Responds with the users username. Example: flatbird

{user.globalName}: Responds with the users display name, or their username if they don't have one set. Example: Flatbird

{user.tag}: Responds with the users tag. Example: Flatbird#0001

{user.discriminator}: Responds with the users discriminator. Example: 0001

||| Due to Discords new username system, many users will no longer have a discriminator, so the {user.tag} and {user.discriminator} variables will show many users' discriminators as "0". It's not recommended to continue using these variables as they may be removed completely in the future.

{user.id}: Responds with the users ID.

What're Auto Replies?

This plugin instructs Circle to reply to certain text-triggers. This can be useful for answering FAQs automatically, community engagement, and more!

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard.
Select the Auto Reply plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Follow the instructions below.

Creating an Auto Response

Click the CREATE NEW button on the top right.
Complete the prompt that appears. (** Trigger and Response are required, all other fields are optional!**)

When someone says "hi", Circle will reply with "Hello!" using Discord's reply feature.

Fields Breakdown

About the Moderation Plugin

Circle's moderation plugin enables all 20+ of her moderation commands, all highly customizable, along with enabling automatic punishments in the automod plugin.

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard.
Select the Moderation plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Select a Modlog Channel from the drop-down. This plugin will not work without a modlog channel set!!
Follow the instructions below.

Configuring Mutes

Circle supports two ways of handling mutes:

Recommended: Mutes will be applied via Discord's time out feature (learn more). This makes setup way easier! Just check the Use Discord's timeout feature to mute members box and you're all done (This is enabled by default on servers that added Circle after Dec 20th, 2021).

What're Reaction Roles?

Reaction Roles allow your members to self-manage their roles by adding/removing a reaction to a message. Reactions correspond to a role which you can configure in this plugin!

Getting Started

Navigate to your server's dashboard
Select the Reaction Roles plugin. If it's not enabled, you'll need to enable it.
Follow the instructions below.

Direct Message on Role Edit

If you want Circle to send a DM to a member when their role is added/removed, select the DM users when they are given or removed from a role option!
